Ashtanga vinyasa yoga, which is popularly known as Ashtanga yoga is a modern style form of traditional Indian yoga formulated and spread by profound Yogi K. Pattabhi Jois who himself started learning yoga at the age of 12 in 1927. He worked really hard and gained in-depth understanding of classical Indian yoga.
